1. Payments and renewals
Monthly: $499 before build work starts, then $149/month for care from launch, billed in advance. Monthly care continues until canceled. Automatic collection requires separate authorization; otherwise payment is by invoice.
Annual: $1,788 before work starts includes the website build and 12 months of care beginning at launch. The $499 build fee is fully waived when you complete the first year. Early cancellation uses the refund policy below.
Annual care does not automatically renew. We contact you before expiration so you can renew, switch to monthly care, or arrange a handoff. Price changes are disclosed before renewal. Any applicable taxes and approved outside expenses are identified before payment. Payment instructions are provided on your invoice.
2. Cancel anytime
No advance notice is required. Email [email protected] or call 720-299-9709. We confirm your request and service-end date in writing. There is no required retention call or special cancellation form.
Monthly: cancellation stops future renewals. Service continues through the current paid month unless you request an earlier shutdown. Partial months are not normally refunded.
Annual: choose to end service immediately, on a later date within your paid period, or at its end. Refunds are based on that service-end date. There is no additional cancellation bill.
Hosting ends on your service-end date. Arrange any move beforehand to avoid downtime. Eligible refunds are initiated within 10 business days after service ends; payment-provider processing may take additional time.
3. A fair annual refund
In year one, unused care is refunded after a proportionate adjustment for the build discount. The adjustment decreases throughout the year and comes only out of the refund.
$1,289 × unused portion of your service year
$1,289 is the $1,788 annual payment minus the $499 build amount. Both the unused care and remaining build adjustment are prorated using calendar days from your service-end date to the first anniversary of launch.

After the first year, there is no build adjustment. Subsequent prepaid care is refunded proportionately for unused days at the amount paid for that service period.
The build adjustment does not apply if Yardbird ends service without customer breach, or if cancellation results from Yardbird’s material failure to deliver the agreed service that remains unresolved after reasonable written notice and an opportunity to fix it. Any refund required by law takes precedence.
4. Your website belongs to you
After the agreed payments and any refund adjustment are settled, you retain the completed website deliverables and your own domain, branding and content. Keep your domain in an account you own.
A basic export of available website files and customer-owned content is included when you leave. Moving the site, configuring another host, or replacing provider-dependent features is separately quoted.
Third-party assets and services remain subject to their own licenses and terms. Yardbird retains its pre-existing tools and reusable components; your delivered website includes the continuing rights needed to use those components as part of that website.
5. If plans change before launch
Cancel before work begins and payments are refunded. Once work starts but before launch, Yardbird retains only completed build work, valued using milestones agreed in writing before starting, up to $499. Any separately approved, nonrecoverable outside expenses are itemized. The remaining payment is refunded.
Care charges do not begin before launch. The build fee is earned as the agreed build work is completed; it is not refunded merely because you later cancel care.
6. What we agree to build and care for
The package includes up to five pages, help shaping your copy, and two consolidated revision rounds before launch. Your written project scope confirms the pages, deliverables, timing, maintenance tasks and any outside expenses. We publish only after your approval.
Care includes hosting, form checks, applicable platform maintenance, and up to 30 minutes of updates to existing content each month. Unused update time does not roll over. Additional pages, redesigns, integrations and work beyond the allowance require a separate approved quote.
You supply accurate business information and assets you have permission to use, and review the site before launch. Domain registration, renewals and outside subscriptions are separate unless expressly included in your scope. Leads and rankings are not guaranteed.
